A Breakthrough provision of “Butler Logistics” service for grain customers

On May 19th , 2021, the vessel “Weide” of Shandong Huangdao National Grain Reserves Co., Ltd., carrying 4,700 tons of corn from Northeast China, called at Weifang Sime Darby Port. It was the first vessel arrived at the port after the strategic cooperation between Weifang Sime Darby Port and Shandong Huangdao National Grain Reserves Co., Ltd., and it was also a milestone for the port to achieve the strategic breakthrough of "vertical integration" of logistics services.

Weifang Sime Darby Port initially provides the customer with "Butler logistics" services. Port services have been extended from point-based "cargo handling" services to total logistics services, including loading and unloading services at customer’s location, participating in customer’s equipment design & calibration, site safety & other internal management, customized solution, precise scheduling of handling and transportation of cargo. It also provides customer with real-time data and the results of the analysis and optimization suggestions, successfully extended port services, which is highly appreciated by customer.

The successful implementation of this project has accumulated business experience for the subsequent of 60,000 tons of corn warehousing, and laid a solid foundation for port's goal of building an important grain logistics distribution base and trading center on the south coast of Bohai Bay.
